Flavors of the sea Ribadeo

Pulpería in Ribadeo

Rinlo is a village that smells of the sea from the moment you round the last bend. A handful of white houses on the cliffs of the Lugo coast, a fishermen's port and a cuisine forged over centuries at the foot of the fish market. This is where Mar de Rinlo was born, and this is where its heart still lies.

The restaurant occupies a privileged spot in the centre of the village, just a few steps from the port, with direct views of the Cantabrian Sea and surrounded by the silence and calm that only authentic places preserve.

Cuisine

The cooking at Mar de Rinlo Ribadeo is all about product and honesty. The pulpo a la feira served here doesn't imitate any recipe: it is the recipe, the same one they have been perfecting for decades. Live shellfish, fish that was in the water that very morning, homemade empanadas and the recognisable flavours of Galician cuisine from both inland and coast come together on a menu that changes with the seasons and respects the rhythm of the sea.

Local wines, cold Albariño served well, and a cellar with a selection of Galician references complete an experience in which everything has a reason.

Space and atmosphere

The venue combines the warmth of traditional seafaring spaces with an attention to detail that makes it special without seeming to. A terrace with sea views, a cosy interior dining room and a family atmosphere where locals and visitors share the same table.

Coming to Mar de Rinlo Ribadeo is coming to the origin. To the place where it all began and where the experience remains as genuine as the first day.
